MNDF Male’ Area Coast Guard Second Squadron has aided a man injured after a dinghy and a speedboat collided at the harbor entrance of Hulhumale’.

The accident was first noticed by MNDF Male’ Area Coast Guard Second Squadron’s “Harbor Craft 113” which was making its way into the harbor of Hulhumale’ around 18:50hrs. Coast Guard questioned the people aboard the dinghy and the speedboat and discovered that a person has been thrown overboard and run over by the speedboat. A diver of Coast Guard Harbor Craft immediately entered water in rescuing the person. The injured person was taken aboard Harbor Craft 113 with help of its crew and transferred to MNDF Kalaaseenu Koshi. From there, he was then taken to Hulhumale’ Hospital around 19:00 in a vehicle of MNDF.
